ASEAN PR Network will support Warwick ASEAN Conference when it holds its sixth annual conference on 8 February 2020, 9am-6pm at The Oculus, University of Warwick. Warwick ASEAN Conference aims to connect with students interested in Southeast Asia with thought leaders within the region. WAC is held annually to foster a community passionate about the future of ASEAN. This year, the conference will take the conversation to a whole new level of engagement with the theme Embracing Disruption: ASEAN’s Role in an Evolving World.
The conference will start with a keynote speech by H.E Mr Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom and Ireland and will be closed by H.E. Mr Tran Ngoc An, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The speakers lined up for this year’s conference are: Tan Sri Dato’ Azman Mokthar, previous Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad; Technology & Climate Seminars led by experts Kirstin Gillon, IT Technical Manager at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Dr Glen Reynolds, Director of the South East Asian Rainforest Research Programme; Speech on Decolonization by Youth Speaker Yi Ning Chang from Decolonising Politics Working Group and Founder of Kopitiam Kembrij; Economics & Politics Panel will feature Bill Hayton, BBC correspondent and author.
