Jakarta, November 15 2018 – The Indonesian Public Relations Association (PERHUMAS) held a press conference about the National Public Relations Convention 2018 at Plaza Kuningan, Jakarta.

This year’s grand convention with the theme “Public Relations 4.0 Indonesian Nationality & Reputation Challenge” will be held on 10-11 December 2018 at the XXI Ballroom in Jakarta and will be attend by various parties ranging from students, practitioners, academics to national figures.

In his remarks, Chairperson of the committee of National Public Relations Convention 2018, Mr. Benny S. Butarbutar said that the National Public Relations Convention 2018 is an appropriate moment for all PR Public Relations Practitioners 4.0 to be more vigilant and careful in facing the challenges of digital world progress in Indonesia

“Hopefully through the National Public Relations Convention 2018, we are all practitioners of Public Relations in Indonesia, from various industries and can discuss and find strategies to build Indonesia’s good reputation”.

Meanwhile, Chairman of BPP PERHUMAS, Agung Laksamana, advised that the role of the Public Relations function is to build Trust and Reputation through the branding of “Making Indonesia 4.0”. This also requires agenda setting and a strategic role for PR Public Relations 4.0.

“HUMAS 4.0 should have software and hardware that is global, digital, and creative. However, most importantly is the PR chip inside the 4.0 must be NKRI – #IndonesiaBicaraBaik”.

Cutting the cake is a symbolic gesture at the commencement of the Public Relations Convention 2018 together with practitioners and it is expected that PR practitioners can formulate strategies that should be able to be carried out in an increasingly rapid technological progress. Not only thinking of this as a threat, but a challenge and opportunity for Public Relations in the industrial sector to be able to control system 4.0 which increasingly dominates the field of work, especially Public Relations.
