Friday, 18th Feb 2022: ASEAN PR Network (APRN) supports the Institute PR Malaysia (IPRM) in the success of the Chalk 27 that was held on Friday, 18th February 2022. Chalk which is the acronym for CHAtting, Listening and Knowledge sharing in PR & Communication has visited and shared PR knowledge with Corporates, Universities, and Government Agencies.

CHALK 27 sees the launch of the Global Capability Framework – Malaysian Perspective where the research was done and presented by Universiti Putra Malaysia. The event started with an opening remarks by Dato’ Sri Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, the President of Institute PR Malaysia and Professor Anne Gregory, former Chair of Global Alliance and the initiator of the Global Capabilities Framework was also invited to be one of the resource speakers.

Dr. Zulhamri Abdullah, an Associate Professor at University Putra Malaysia who led the research for the Global Capability Framework Malaysia presented the results of the research during the launching. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Jaffri Amin Osman, the Chair of the Global Alliance Asia-Pacific Region with participants from PR professionals, Academicians and students across Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and others from the Asia Pacific region.

Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, the President of ASEAN PR Network, sent her congratulatory message, “I would like to congratulate IPRM, Mr Dato Ibrahim and President of IPRM and Mr Jaffri Amin Osman VP of IPRM and also the Chair of Global Alliance Asia Pacific Region for the concluded launching of the Global Capability Framework in Malaysia. We are so glad that more and more countries value the importance of the GCF standards. Again heartfelt thanks to Prof. Anne Gregory the Research Director for this Global Capabilities Project through University of Huddesfield, UK for initiating this Global standard.”
