Jakarta, 27 May 2022 – LSPR Institute of Communication and Business (LSPR Institute) launched the LSPR Center for Leadership which aims to take part in developing student leadership capacities.
Higher education is an important bridge to increase student capacity and prepare them to enter the professional world. Leadership is one of the short listed skills that students must have in order to develop, ranging from in their careers to how they contribute to society. This center will encourage students to be visionary thinkers, and think far ahead, becoming a data-oriented leader, thereby creating future leaders.
The launch of the LSPR Center for Leadership was held at Prof. Dr. Djayusman Auditorium and Performance Hall, LSPR Institute of Communication and Business – Jakarta on 27 May 2022 to coincide with the activities of the Women’s Leadership Inspiration Discussion Forum and the Book Launching of Wonderful Women by Prita Kemal Gani. Inaugurated by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani and witnessed by the Rectors and several Keynote Speakers and Resource Persons such as:

The LSPR Center for Leadership is ready to play a role and contribute actively through various programs including; LSCL Leadership Forum/Symposium (Seminar/Webinars); LSCL Training and Development (Workshop & Mini Class); LSCL Global Leadership Conference; LSCL Leadership Podcast; LSCL Student Global Leadership Program (SGLP); LSCL Leadership Roundtables; LSCL Courses for Students, Alumni, Lecturers, Staff and Organizations.
The series of LSCL launches began by holding a Discussion Forum event “Inspiration for Women’s Leadership: Lead Recovery, Move for Freedom to Learn Independent Campus and Book Launching Wonderful Women by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA., MCIPR., APR. The event was held in the context of creating superior human resources (HR) through policies that strengthen the role of all education personnel with the breakthrough of Merdeka Learning, Transforming Indonesian Education. Then, continued with the 2022 International Leadership Conference event on June 4, 2022 held at the Trans Resort Bali Hotel with the theme “Global Leadership or Leading Globally? Making Sense, Making Positive Change and Communicating”
The LSPR Center for Leadership (LSCL) is expected to be a forum not only for the LSPR academic community but also for organizations and communities in the world of education to develop leadership skills to benefit others.
LSCL is dedicated to understanding, investigating, advancing and exploring new forms, sources and practices of leadership in a global context. In line with the direction and purpose of LSCL, which is to create significant intellectual insight, and practical support for leadership, the center will collaborate with various leaders across fields and industries.
Founder & CEO of the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, Dr. (H.C.) Prita Kemal Gani stated, “Leadership in the world of education today must run with the Pentahelix concept, in the sense that there is a world of industry, education and associations. The LSPR Center for Leadership can be a forum for fostering a sense of leadership which is then followed by discipline, responsibility and honesty.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Andre Ikhsano, M.Si, Rector of the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business stated that, “…The role of a leader in education is to determine the direction and strategy, become the center of coordination, be a source of motivation, and can be imitated by all colleagues in an organization. The LSPR Center for Leadership is expected to be a forum to improve competence, capacity and capability in the field of leadership. ”
Mr. Taufan Teguh Akbari, Ph.D as Chairman of the LSPR Center for Leadership also expressed his support and happiness for the launch of LSCL, “In times like, this we must be able to join hands, synergize, learn and collaborate to face all the challenges that lie ahead. not to be faced alone. I happily congratulate the establishment of the LSPR Center for Leadership which will certainly be useful for the entire LSPR Jakarta community, including lecturers, management, staff, employees, and all students.”
