Public Relations Association of Indonesia (APPRI) is the only organization that concerns Indonesian PR companies who have the spirit and the responsibility to develop and advance the PR industry in Indonesia. Tuesday, April 28, 2015, APPRI which has been established since 1987, held a re-launching event at the Gran Hotel Melia in Jakarta.
Tipuk Satiotomo as Chairman of APPRI period 2014-2017 hopes that, through APPRI there will be fair competition among its members, empowering, and the most important regeneration and education for all industry stakeholders of PR where public relations should be conducted on a strategic level.
APPRI has the vision to become the main organization of Indonesian public relations company which its members have international competitiveness. On 10 April 1987, some PR figures in Indonesia who own PR companies, namely Inke Maris, Maria Wongsonagoro, Miranty Abidin, Edowati Sudjono, Srikandi Hakim, Sayono, Ida Sudoyo agreed to establish the Public Relations Association of Indonesia (APPRI). The aim is to protect the Indonesian public relations companies, in order to be able to host in their own country. 2015 committee of APPRI relay the rationale of the founders of APPRI who are adapted to the development and industrial interests, especially in preparing for the Asian Economic Community (AEC).
