Friday, 30th April 2021: ASEAN PR Network (APRN) in collaboration with Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management has successfully organized the Web-Conference of Global Education & Training Month in April 2021. This web-conference held on Friday, 30th April 2021, was the highlight and closing event for the GAETM campaign. Therefore, ASEAN PR Network invited very insightful speakers to share their views and expertise on the topic of “Education as One of the Hardest Hit Sectors During Pandemic”.
This event started with the LSPR Choir Club’s special performance, and then continued with Ms. Candy Hernandez, M.Si, the Managing Director of ASEAN PR Network who greeted the speakers and audience as she was the host for the event. Mr Justin Green – the President of Global Alliance for PR and Communication Management also attended the event as the keynote speaker.
Until the main discussion started, Mr. Ermiel Thabrani, as the moderator, welcomed and described the topic to the audience and introduced the 4 speakers. First, Mr. Herbet Ang as the President Director of ACER Indonesia, presented his session entitled “Breaking Barriers between People and Technology in Education”. He mentioned the reason why Acer is for education ass Acer’s mission is to break barriers between people and technology. Acer for Education is presented to provide education stakeholders, e.g. teachers, students, parents, school leaders, publishers, etc. with evolving technology to inspire and foster a timeless education in the classroom and beyond”. The second speaker, Prof. Marco M. Polo as the Associate Professor at the Communication and Journalism and Director for University Advancement at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas followed.
The 3rd speaker, Ms. Marina Kozak as the Deputy Vice Rector of HSE University shared her presentation entitled “The life cycle of digital content-the basis for communication”. She explained that there are 4 points to produce quality content and transform it according to the behaviour patterns: Creation, Management, Publication and Optimization. Following the special speaker, Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, the President of ASEAN PR Network shared her presentation on how education institutions survive and make the most of opportunities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Finishing the conference, the speakers and audience had a group photo session to mark this special closing event of GAETM and the ASEAN Unite as One song played at the end of the session. More than 170 participants from all around the ASEAN Countries attended the event.
