Echo sounding of the markets in recent years has made business people think and work hard in dealing with this, so as not to lose out to the competition. In AEC 2015, there are nine pillars which exist in the mutual recognition agreement (MRA) and so far the PR profession has not yet been included. However, this does not mean the PR world is sleeping.

FERPI, the Italian Federation of Public Relations, has invited Prita Kemal Gani, PR expert and founder of the London School of Public Relations Jakarta, as one of the speakers for a talkshow on “Food and Expo: The Role of Communication in Food Promotion Worldwide”. ASEAN Public Relations Network (APRN) and Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) held a Friendship Agreement signing ceremony on the 15th of June 2015 at the Professor Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall at London School of Public Relations Jakarta. APRN and PRIA had signed this agreement in order to establish ties of friendship and cooperation for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding and academic, cultural, and personnel exchange. The ASEAN Women’s Circle (AWC) held ASEAN Street Food Festival on the 12th of June, 2015 at the ASEAN Secretariat, Hibiscus Hall to showcase the richness of Southeast Asia’s street food. A wide variety of signature dishes such as satay, pad thai, nasi uduk and Vietnamese spring rolls and desserts were prepared by spouses of the ASEAN Permanent Missions to ASEAN as members of the AWC. The fund raised by the festival was donated for the improvement and future of the street children in Jakarta. Continue reading
