ASEAN Public Relations Network supports by attending the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) which is held from 9 to 11 April 2015 in Kuching, Sarawak Malaysia. This three-day program began with Biz World Seminar and Exhibition at Sarawak Tourism Complex and was followed by AIFFA Opening Ceremony and a 12-hour movies marathon in the rainforest of Sarawak Cultural Village. The final Gala Night was held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Saturday, April 11 attended by ASEAN and international film personalities and celebrities.

The objectives of AIFFA are to promote our culture, tradition and heritage towards a convergence for ASEAN as an entity by 2015, to promote ASEAN films to the international market, also to promote collaborations and networking within the ASEAN Film Industry and etc.

AIFFA is endorsed by the ASEAN 10 ministers, also present at the Gala Night were Sarawak Chief Minister, Tan Sri Adenan Satem, Minister of Communication and Multimedia Malaysia Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek and international Asian actors Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh.

Meanwhile, Ben Sihombing from Indonesia won Best Screenplay for “Soekarno”. Nora Aunor from The Philippines was awarded with Lifetime Achievement Award and Jackie Chan was awarded with ASEAN Inspiration Award.
