FERPI, the Italian Federation of Public Relations, has invited Prita Kemal Gani, PR expert and founder of the London School of Public Relations Jakarta, as one of the speakers for a talkshow on “Food and Expo: The Role of Communication in Food Promotion Worldwide”. This event was formally opened by the current Mayor of Milan Guiliano Pisapia, at the Expo Milan 2015, EXPO Bio-Mediterraneum cluster.
This World Expo has first launched in May 2015-October 2015 and is being held every five (5) years. The previous country that hosted this was in Shanghai and in 2020 will be in Dubai, UAE. At the EXPO Milano 2015, the pavilion of Indonesia has attracted a number of visitors from the international guests and participants.
In her presentation, Prita says that, “The role of public relations in promoting Indonesia’s culinary is by persuading all members of Indonesia society, all Indonesians including the Indonesia Ambassadors and Diaspora who are in other countries to introduce Indonesia Culinary worldwide. Beside that, Indonesia young generation have very important roles in promoting Indonesia Culinary. For example, they can join cooking competition and prove their creativity in using the various available local ingredients, in plating, in packaging and make it world wide by using social media as the platform.”
