Jakarta, 28 July 2022 – The first Indonesia Public Relations Summit 2022 was held on 28 – 29 July 2022 from 09.00 – 18.00 WIB at JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta. This event involved a variety of stakeholders as well as PR Practitioners and PR members from influential companies and institutions in Indonesia.

The Indonesia Public Relations summit 2022 main theme was: “Rebuilding with Reputation”. The workshop activity held on the first day presented 4 competent speakers in their respective fields such as PR Practitioners, Media Practitioners and Brand Practitioners. In this workshop, participants gained insights into theory, practice and also significant ecosystem insight about the PR world, from crisis management in PR, to CSR strategies program, and Media handling strategy, media relations and personal branding to support in forming a company’s reputation, as well as the reputation of the PR practitioner themself to aid the ecosystem business in their own company.

This event was part of The Iconomics vision, and aimed to support the media to participate in helping the post pandemic economy recovery. Through this event it was hoped to gain insight, knowledge and guidance especially for the PR Person in companies or agencies in Indonesia to prepare for success in 2022 and also in the years to come.

  1. Workshop session at Indonesia PR Summit 2022

The Indonesia PR Summit 2022 Workshop was held on the second day of the Indonesia PR Summit 2022 which discussed various topics related to PR, Strategic Communication, Media Handling, Media Relations and Personal Branding. The speakers in this workshop were Junanto Herdiawan – Director of the Communications Department of Bank Indonesia, Dian Agustine Nuriman – Founder of Nagara Communications, Firsan Nova – CEO of Nexus Risk Mitigation and Strategic Communication, and Agus Sudibyo – Media Practitioner & Head of New Media Research Center. The workshop topics included: Crisis Management Strategy, CSR Program Communication Strategy to create the reputation of companies, institutions, or ministries, Strategies to creates personal branding for a PR, and to Build Company Reputation through communication strategies with effective media.

  1. The appearance of various inspirational sources, such as national figures from government circles as well from PR Practitioners, and also CEO/Director of stated owned to private companies.

There were a variety of speakers at the Indonesia PR Summit 2022 Seminars. The first Session, titled “What CEO wants from PR”, was presented by Indonesia Best CEO according to the Iconomics version, Mr Budi Waseso, President Director of Perum BULOG and Batara Sianturi and President Director of Citibank Indonesia.

The Second Session, titled “Women in PR Industry”, was presented by 3 extraordinary Women in the Indonesia PR world: Devy Suradji – Marketing and Service Director of Angkasa Pura I, Kristy Nelwan – Head of Communications at Unilever Indonesia, and Mona Monika – Executive Director, Head of Group Strategic Marketing & Communication at PT Bank DBS Indonesia.

The Third Session, titled “The Role of Public Relations in Maintaining Reputation and Public Trust”, was presented by: Arya Mahendra Sinulingga – Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs in the field of Public Communications of the Ministry of SOEs, Rahayu Puspasari – Head of the Communication and Information Bureau of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, and Pujo Pramono – Vice President Corporate Communication PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.

  1. End with the Awarding Night 3rd Indonesia Corporate Reputation Awards, 2nd Indonesia PR Person Awards 2022, and Indonesia PR Strategy Awards.

The series of events for the Indonesia PR Summit 2022 closed with the Networking Night and Awarding Night which is a form of appreciation from The Iconomics to PR Practitioners and companies that have succeeded in navigating the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020-2021.
